About Us

Aidan's Home Services is a rapidly growing home improvement and exterior services company specializing in roofing, siding, windows, gutters, exterior cleaning, and holiday lighting.

As we continue to scale, we're looking for a highly organized, self-motivated individual to help develop and maintain our company's standard operating procedures (SOPs), employee training programs, and internal systems.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SOP & Training Development Specialist who can take ownership of creating professional, organized, and practical company documentation.

This is not simply a writing or formatting position. We need someone who can research industry best practices, interview our team, evaluate existing processes, and develop comprehensive SOPs and training programs from the ground up.

The ideal candidate is a strong independent worker who can take a general concept and turn it into a complete, ready-to-implement training resource with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Develop detailed SOPs for sales, production, customer service, administration, and field operations.
• Interview employees and management to document existing workflows.
• Research industry best practices and recommend process improvements.
• Create step-by-step procedures, checklists, and workflow diagrams.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization.

Employee Training & Development

• Develop comprehensive training manuals for roofing, siding, windows, gutters, exterior cleaning, and other services.
• Research manufacturer specifications, installation guidelines, and relevant industry standards.
• Create structured onboarding and employee development programs.
• Develop professional training presentations, quizzes, assessments, and certification checkpoints.
• Organize training into logical modules that employees can complete independently.
• Collaborate with management and subject-matter experts to verify technical accuracy.

Documentation & Organization

• Establish consistent templates and formatting across company documents.
• Organize and maintain a centralized SOP and training library.
• Update documentation as company processes and products evolve.
• Ensure materials are clear, professional, and easy for employees to understand and implement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience developing SOPs, employee training manuals, or operational documentation.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Experience with instructional design or employee training development.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Google Docs, Google Slides, Microsoft Office, and AI-assisted research/writing tools.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, home improvement, roofing, or field service industries.
• Experience developing training programs for sales teams or field technicians.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, operational workflows, and process improvement.
• Experience creating visual training materials and presentations.

Compensation & Opportunity

This position will begin with a paid trial project, followed by ongoing freelance work for the right candidate.

Pay: $20.93 - $31.23 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
