System Architect - Senior

We are seeking a Senior System Architect to join our NI (Network Intelligence) Architecture Group. The role is focused on designing and evolving complex software and application architectures, with emphasis on scalability, performance, reliability, and cloud-native technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong software architecture background and solid knowledge of telecommunication systems, networking technologies, and protocols. You will be responsible for defining end-to-end system architecture, application interactions, interfaces, data flows, and integration approaches while working closely with development, product, and R&D teams.

As a Cognyter, you will:

• Analyze requirements from product roadmaps and customer projects, translating them into detailed infrastructure designs and accurate effort estimations.
• Provide solution architecture recommendations and effort estimates as part of presales and business development activities.
• Conduct infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure optimal application and system performance.
• Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and best practices to R&D teams across infrastructure and architecture domains.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and Product Management teams in an Agile environment to design scalable, resilient, and high-performance solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement across products and platforms.

Requirements:

For that mission you’ll need:

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree (minimum requirement).
• 10-15 years of relevant industry experience in software architecture, system design, and distributed systems, including at least 5 years of proven experience leading and mentoring global R&D teams.
• Work experience in a multicultural global company, effectively interfacing with internal stakeholders and customer-facing teams.
• Proven experience as a Lead System Architect.
• Proven experience in designing and architecting large-scale, complex on-premises systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern technologies, including Microservices, Big Data platforms (Spark, Kafka), Databases (SQL/NoSQL), and Cloud-Native technologies (Kubernetes, Containers).
• AI/GenAI Architecture expertise, with the ability to design scalable enterprise solutions that integrate LLMs, AI agents, and Generative AI services into distributed systems.
• Background in Telecom Mobile Networks and IP Protocols.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience conducting infrastructure sizing, performance tuning, scalability assessments, and capacity planning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• An endlessly curious mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and solving complex technical challenges.
