Role & responsibilities : Description: We are looking for a handson Performance and Benchmarking Engineer to drive CPU, GPU, and NPU performance evaluation on Linuxbased systems, with a strong focus on OS and kernellevel behaviour.

In this role, you will execute benchmarking experiments, analyze kernel logs and profiling data, and build automation to enable repeatable, scalable performance analysis across platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable working close to the Linux kernel, enjoys debugging systemlevel issues, and takes ownership of translating lowlevel data into actionable performance insights.

THE PERSON:
We are searching for a deeply skilled performance and benchmarking engineer with exceptional proficiency in Linux Kernel programming and Operating System fundamentals. In this role, you will drive end-to-end benchmarking workflows focusing on CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs across a wide range of hardware and software platforms. Your expertise in Linux internals and kernel-level optimization will be central to running experiments, automating data pipelines, processing profiling results, and communicating insights to internal stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute CPU, GPU, and NPU benchmarks on Linux-based platforms.
• Analyze system behavior using Linux kernel and OS-level expertise.
• Tune OS, BIOS, firmware, and scheduler settings for reliable benchmarking.
• Collect and analyze performance data, logs, and profiling results.
• Document findings, tuning actions, and recommendations.
• Develop Bash, Python, and C scripts for log processing and automation.
• Automate benchmarking workflows across Linux and embedded environments.
• Convert raw profiling output into actionable insights.
• Debug system, firmware, and software issues during setup and benchmarking.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• CPU/GPU architecture and kernel-level performance concepts.
• Performance optimization on Android, Yocto, or Ubuntu.
• ARM/x86 architecture experience; x86 preferred.
• Git and JIRA familiarity.
• Strong Linux kernel programming and OS internals knowledge.
• Strong C/C++ skills for kernel or driver programming.
• Hands-on Linux experience, preferably Ubuntu or embedded Linux.
• Kernel and OS-level optimization, including scheduler, thermal, and power frameworks.
• Benchmarking and profiling tools such as perf, ftrace, turbostat, and VTune.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Self-driven, curious, ownership-oriented execution mindset.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience.

B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M. Tech.. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
