System Engineer

We are seeking a System Engineer to support and enhance several enterprise platforms for one of the largest financial services companies in Hong Kong. This role is ideal for someone with a strong Linux background who enjoys system administration, application support, and platform operations in a modern enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and other enterprise platforms.
• Manage user access, licensing, server requests, and change requests across UAT and production environments.
• Support downstream system integrations and vendor-managed applications.
• Maintain and monitor Linux-based infrastructure and containerized applications.
• Drive automation, operational improvements, and platform reliability initiatives.
• Work closely with business users and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.

Top Skills Required

1. Jira & Confluence Administration

• User management, licensing, permissions, and platform support.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale user environments.

2. Kubernetes & Container Technologies

• Understanding of container lifecycle, image registry, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and cluster administration.

3. Linux Administration

• Strong hands-on experience with Enterprise Linux.
• System troubleshooting, server management, and operational support.

Preferred Skills

• Python and Bash scripting.
• SRE/Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki).
• Jenkins or CI/CD automation tools.
• Networking, DNS, load balancing, and infrastructure fundamentals.
• Application support experience and understanding of system architecture.
• Strong stakeholder communication and project coordination skills.
