System Engineer

About the role

Burgeon Bricks Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis at our facility in Setia Indah, Johor. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that support our manufacturing and operational infrastructure. As a System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems whilst driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement integrated systems solutions that meet operational requirements and business objectives
• Conduct system analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate current infrastructure and identify areas for enhancement
• Create comprehensive system documentation, including architecture diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals
• Oversee system integration activities, ensuring seamless compatibility between different components and platforms
• Perform testing and validation of systems to ensure they meet quality standards and performance criteria
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing systems to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and IT departments, to ensure system alignment with business needs
• Monitor system performance and implement optimisations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to systems engineering
• Document lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of system processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of systems design principles, methodologies, and lifecycle management
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and system modelling tools
• Experience with industrial control systems, automation, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical challenges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
• Project management experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages or scripting (an advantage)
• Certification in systems engineering or related professional credentials (preferred)
