System Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise IT environment. This is an excellent opportunity for infrastructure professionals who enjoy hands-on operations, technical support, compliance activities, and process improvement within a complex enterprise setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations and administration of enterprise IT infrastructure environments
• Manage service tickets, incidents, escalations, and operational requests
• Perform system monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support activities
• Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, virtualization platforms, and related infrastructure services
• Assist in backup operations, disaster recovery exercises, audit support, and compliance-related activities
• Track and support security, governance, and operational compliance initiatives, including privileged account reviews and vulnerability follow-up
• Coordinate SSL certificate renewals, documentation updates, and process improvement initiatives
• Prepare operational reports, maintain SOPs, and create technical documentation and knowledge base articles

About you

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Support, Technical Support, or Managed Services
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server (2012 or above), Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Linux, PowerShell, Nutanix, SAN/NAS Storage, Hybrid Cloud, or Microsoft Entra ID is an advantage
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, fluent Cantonese is a must.
