SYSTEM ENGINEER (Japanese Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for a System Engineer (Japanese Speaking) to support the Company's IT systems, infrastructure, and day-to-day technical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining reliable IT services, troubleshooting system-related issues, coordinating with internal users and external IT vendors, and supporting communication and technical coordination with our Japanese counterparts. This position is suitable for a hands-on IT professional who is able to work independently and communicate effectively in both English and Japanese.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Company's IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT services.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
• Provide technical support to users and ensure IT-related issues are resolved within an appropriate timeframe.
• Support installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of IT systems and equipment.
• Administer user accounts, access rights, passwords, and system permissions.
• Maintain IT documentation, system records, network information, and equipment inventories.
• Perform regular system checks, updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in planning, implementing, testing, and maintaining new IT systems and applications.
• Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, consultants, and Japan Headquarters during system implementation.

Requirement

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferably 2–5 years of experience in system engineering, IT infrastructure, system administration, or IT support.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer hardware, networking, and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Japanese language proficiency is required, preferably JLPT N2 or above.
• Able to communicate effectively in Japanese and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn.
