System Integration Manager – Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Systems

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the system integration, engineering design, and technical implementation of hydrogen, fuel cell, and energy systems to ensure system functionality, performance, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
2. Develop overall system architectures and engineering solutions, integrating fuel cell modules, Balance of Plant (BOP), hydrogen supply systems, electrical systems, control systems, Energy Management Systems (EMS), and related mechanical and electrical equipment .
3. Lead requirement analysis, technical evaluation, specification definition, system design, and engineering feasibility studies during the early stages of projects, and support the Sales team in technical proposals and customer discussions.
4. Oversee system integration and engineering activities, including P&ID development/review, equipment layout, MEP interfaces, control logic, installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance .
5. Coordinate cross-functional resources across R&D, Project Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, suppliers, and engineering contractors to resolve technical interface and project execution issues.
6. Lead and manage the System Integration team, including work allocation, schedule management, technical guidance, talent development, and continuous improvement of engineering standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex technical data, diagnose system issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in systems engineering and systems design for hydrogen and fuel cell systems or related energy technologies.
• Experience in requirements management, including capturing, documenting, and tracing system and subsystem requirements.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities, such as scheduling, risk management, stakeholder communication, and execution tracking.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, testing, and validation in energy, automotive, or industrial systems environments.
• Knowledge of hydrogen safety standards, fuel cell technologies, and relevant industry regulations is highly beneficial.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate clearly in English and Mandarin, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as CAD, simulation software, and requirements or project management platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Energy Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering , or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience , with preferably 3+ years of team leadership or project leadership experience .
• Proven experience in system integration, MEP engineering, industrial automation, energy systems, or large-scale engineering projects .
• Strong interdisciplinary knowledge and system integration capabilities across electrical, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and control systems .
• Ability to read, understand, and review P&IDs, system architecture diagrams, electrical drawings, equipment layouts, and engineering drawings .
• Experience in engineering specification development, equipment selection, technical documentation, system testing, and commissioning.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with customers, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and provide on-site project support when required.
