System Manager

Our Operations Department is currently looking for high caliber candidate to join the Information Technology Team:

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of both the Helpdesk Support and System Administration teams.

• Resource allocation, shift scheduling, and task prioritization to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Identify skill gaps within teams and design professional development plans and technical training programs.

• Foster a collaborative, user-centric, and continuous-improvement team culture.

Helpdesk Operations

• Oversee the IT Service Desk functions to deliver excellent SLA performance, ticket resolution times, and user satisfaction metrics.

• Act as an escalation point for complex or high-priority IT incidents, ensuring rapid response and stakeholder communication.

• To provide help desk support to internal users and handle ad-hoc IT projects.

System Administration & Infrastructure

• Oversee system engineering operations, including server infrastructure, network systems, cloud environments (e.g. M365), Firewall(e.g. PA, Fortinet, Cisco WSA and Imperva) Data center and endpoint security.
• Maintain system health, backup strategy, business continuity, and disaster recovery plan execution.
• Enforce cybersecurity guidelines, patch management cycles, access management, and compliance audits across the organization.
• Lead infrastructure upgrade, deployment, and migration projects in coordination with business requirements.

Vendor Management & IT Strategy

• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, software suppliers, and external service providers. Assist the Head of IT in IT budget planning, hardware/software asset lifecycle management, and license compliance.

• Drive technology modernizations and process automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency.

• To diagnose, maintain and support the servers, storage systems, networks (LAN/WAN), PA /Fortinet firewall, SAN storage, IT security and data center operations.

• To plan preventive maintenance and enhancement for network and security areas.

• To handle server installation, configuration, enhancement and development.

• To provide user services management including user accounts administration.

• To update and maintaining system operation documents.

• To work closely with vendors and internal customers on trouble-shooting, system implementation and migration.

• To provide help desk support to internal users and handle ad-hoc IT projects.

Requirements

• University graduates in Information Technology or related disciplines with minimum 6-8 years' relevant experience in M365, IT networking, infrastructure & IT security services, server virtualization, preferably from financial sector and minimum 5 years' hands-on experience on Lotus Notes Domino, Windows, VMware, Hyper-V, VDI(Horizon), end-point protection tools, including design, implementation, support and product upgrade.

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, and cloud platforms.

• Experience with backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning.

• Candidates with less qualification and experience would be considered as Assistant System Manager.

• Good commend of written and spoken English and Chinese(Cantonese and Mandarin).

• Holder of CISSP/CISA/PMP/ITIL is an added advantage.

• Mature, willing to learn, self-initiating, good team player, good communication and inter-personal skills
