System Modeling & Simulation Engineer

Develop and maintain system models for advanced energy systems and electrified powertrain applications. Perform dynamic and steady-state simulations to evaluate system behavior and performance. Conduct heat, mass, and energy balance calculations to support system design and optimization. Parameterize, calibrate, and validate simulation models using test and supplier data. Analyze operating profiles and assess system performance under various operating conditions. Support system architecture and engineering teams through performance studies and technical recommendations. Prepare technical reports and present simulation results to project stakeholders.

Nice to have: knowledge of MBSE/SysML, Python or MATLAB scripting, and experience with fuel cell, hydrogen, battery, or thermal management systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Master's degree or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field. Experience in system modeling and simulation of thermo-fluid, energy, battery, fuel cell, hydrogen, or automotive systems. Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and energy systems. Experience with system simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, AVL CRUISE M, GT-SUITE, Amesim, or equivalent. Knowledge of dynamic and steady-state modeling methodologies. Experience in model parameterization, calibration, and correlation with test data. Ability to perform heat, mass, and energy balance calculations. Understanding of system architecture, requirements engineering, and performance evaluation processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong English communication skills in an international engineering environment.
