System Support Analyst

About the role

This role involves systems monitoring, technical support, and administration for fleet and vessel systems. You will provide first-line and second-line technical support to both onboard and office users, troubleshoot systems issues, install and configure applications, and conduct training sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring of vessel systems and related system data transfers
• Monitor and maintain database backup processes to ensure data integrity and system availability
• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for onboard and office users
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve systems issues related to fleet systems
• Deliver remote support to vessels through TeamViewer, Microsoft Teams, telephone, or other approved communication tools
• Install, configure, test, and upgrade fleet applications
• Conduct system training sessions for seafarers and office staff
• Participate in ad hoc projects and business initiatives as directed

About you

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT user support, application support, or systems support roles
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both office-based and vessel personnel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with maritime software applications is an advantage
• Experience delivering training and technical support to remote users
