System Technician

Job Summary

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Provides level II help desk support which could include tickets from helpdesk calls, email, direct contact, or internal team members.

Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions

• Provides exceptional second level support to users and Tech I positions taking on more difficult tasks escalated from level I solving issues without assistance from systems level support.

• Answers the phone in a professional manner and provides first and second level support for hospital systems solving most first and second level issues before sending the call to systems level.

• Provides outstanding after hours computer/system support rarely missing a call from hospital operators. Able to solve most issues without the support from coworkers.

• Keeping documentation current.

• Updating and maintaining policies.

• Keeping a current inventory of hardware.

• Track hard drive life cycles.

• Update system information of each software application.

• Assist with BCA management with EPIC

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Qualifications

  Education

• Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

• Required
  • Two years of experience as a Computer Support Tech I
• Certification/Licensure:
• Preferred
  • A+ Certification
