Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Sr IT Engineer- Tanium Administrator to work on a contract basis. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Tanium solutions to support enterprise IT operations. The position requires expertise in endpoint management and security compliance automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and administer Tanium Core Server, modules, and endpoints to ensure operational stability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tanium deployment, performance, and integration with existing IT infrastructure.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Tanium-based solutions for asset management, security compliance, and endpoint visibility.

• Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline Tanium operations and reduce manual intervention.

• Provide Tier 3 support for Tanium-related escalations, including root cause analysis and remediation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience administering Tanium platforms in enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in Tanium Core Server, Tanium Client, and Tanium modules such as Discover, Patch, and Compliance.

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and integration tasks.

• Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and endpoint management best practices.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS).

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, contract-based environment with minimal supervision.

• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one within the required timeline.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in troubleshooting complex systems.
