Systems Administrator

Role Description This is a part-time, remote Systems Administrator role responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s IT infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include managing servers and workstations, administering user accounts and permissions, and monitoring system performance and security. The Systems Administrator will troubleshoot technical issues, provide technical support to team members, and coordinate with vendors or service providers when needed. The role also involves maintaining documentation of systems and procedures, performing routine backups and updates, and contributing to the improvement of IT processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in System Administration, including managing operating systems, user accounts, and access controls.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diagnosing issues, resolving incidents, and assisting remote users.
• Candidates should possess Network Administration skills, such as configuring routers/switches, managing firewalls, and monitoring network performance.
• Candidates should possess a broad foundation in Information Technology, including familiarity with security best practices, backups, and cloud-based tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, or Microsoft certifications) are beneficial.
• Experience with remote work tools, ticketing systems, and documentation platforms is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are required.
• Prior experience in a Systems Administrator or similar IT support role is preferred.
