Systems Administrator

Are you an experienced Systems Administrator looking to manage enterprise virtualization platforms while driving containerization initiatives? Ready to take charge of cluster resilience, security, and workload scalability?

At act digital , we are currently recruiting a Systems Administrator (OpenShift/VMware) to join a key infrastructure project in a hybrid setup based in Alfragide (3 days on-site per week).

What You Will Do

• Cluster Management: Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters and VMware virtualization environments.
• Enable Containerization: Actively assist software engineering teams in their containerization journey, enforcing architecture best practices and runtime availability.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor managed clusters for stability, performance, and security; execute root-cause analyses and technical troubleshooting alongside development teams.
• Documentation & Operations: Author, update, and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and baseline settings for OpenShift platforms.

What We Are Looking For

• Container Orchestration: Proven hands-on track record administering and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
• Virtualization Platforms: Solid background in the administration of VMware infrastructure.
• Operating Systems & Infrastructure: Strong fundamentals in both Linux and Windows operating systems, along with core knowledge of networking and storage .
• Scripting: Practical ability to write and maintain automation scripts using Bash, ksh, or general Shell scripting .
• Soft Skills: High adaptability to dynamic environments, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, rigorous attention to detail, and effective team communication.
• Work Setup: Hybrid model (3 days on-site per week in Alfragide ).

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or PowerCLI .
• Working knowledge of infrastructure security principles and OS hardening standards.
