About the opportunity

Rise Hire is hiring an IT Support / Systems Administrator for one of our clients. You'll be the go-to person who keeps systems running and users productive. This role is based out of Miami and open to remote candidates.

What you'll do

• Provide Tier 1–2 support for hardware, software, and network issues, by ticket, phone, and remote session
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
• Maintain Windows Server environments, including patching, backups, and system monitoring
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP issues
• Set up, image, and manage laptops, desktops, and mobile devices
• Help enforce security best practices: MFA, endpoint protection, and access reviews
• Document procedures and keep the knowledge base current
• Work with vendors and internal teams on upgrades and new technology rollouts

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server
• A solid grasp of networking fundamentals
• Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar
• Clear communication and patience with non-technical users
• Nice to have: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft certifications; experience in government or public-sector environments; scripting with PowerShell
