The Role Maynooth University wishes to appoint an ICT Systems Administrator on a full-time permanent basis. This appointment at AOII Grade will report to the ICT Infrastructure Manager and be part of the Infrastructure Team within IT Services.

The ICT Systems Administrator will have responsibility for the support, administration, security and continuous improvement of the University's server, identity, storage, backup, virtualisation and core infrastructure platforms. The role will ensure that critical ICT services remain secure, reliable, recoverable and capable of supporting the University's teaching, research and administrative objectives.

The role will work across on-premise and cloud-based environments providing systems support and contributing to service planning, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, automation and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise across enterprise infrastructure technologies together with excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills. They will work collaboratively across IT Services and with vendors to support service delivery and innovation.

Salary Admin Officer II (2026): €47,387 – €67,129 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
