This role focuses on keeping the systems behind everyday business operations stable, secure, and running efficiently. Working alongside IT colleagues, the Systems Administrator helps maintain the infrastructure, configurations, and user access that allow employees and business applications to function reliably.

Building on systems engineering and infrastructure work, you’ll focus on the ongoing administration of servers, operating systems, system updates, backups, and technical issues. It would suit someone who enjoys understanding how systems work, investigating problems, and making sure the technology a business depends on remains reliable.

Day to Day

• Maintain and monitor servers, operating systems, and business IT systems
• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of system configurations
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Install approved software, updates, and security patches
• Investigate system errors, performance issues, and service interruptions
• Monitor system availability and identify potential problems
• Perform routine maintenance, backups, and recovery checks
• Support the operation of network-connected systems and IT infrastructure
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and system procedures
• Assist with testing system changes and verifying that updates work correctly
• Coordinate with Systems Engineers and other IT colleagues on infrastructure issues
• Follow established security, access management, and recovery procedures

What’s Important

You’ll need a good understanding of computer systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to investigate technical issues methodically. Attention to detail is important, particularly when making configuration changes, managing access, or maintaining system records.

Previous systems administration, systems engineering, IT infrastructure, network support, or technical support experience is useful. Familiarity with server environments, Windows operating systems, basic networking, system monitoring, backups, and user account management would be beneficial.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently on routine maintenance, recognize when an issue needs further investigation, and collaborate with Systems Engineers and other technical colleagues when more complex infrastructure problems arise.

8:30am–5:00pm
Full-time, permanent
Office-based in Dallas, TX

Pay: $60,500.00 - $73,500.00 per year
