Systems Administrator

High Touch Technologies is seeking a dependable and technically skilled Systems Administrator to maintain, monitor, and support the organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience managing operating systems, user accounts, network services, and system security. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining system availability, and helping ensure that business technology operates reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and update servers and operating systems.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and authentication settings.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and recovery testing.
• Apply security patches and follow established IT security policies.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and asset records.
• Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to resolve technical issues.
• Support infrastructure upgrades and technology improvement projects.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Windows or Linux system administration.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, and user access management.
• Familiarity with backup procedures, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and cloud services.
• Knowledge of scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding of cybersecurity practices and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with IT service management and ticketing systems.
