Systems Administrator

Behind every successful business is a technology expert who keeps everything running seamlessly. The Systems Administrator is key to maintaining IHG’s IT infrastructure and onsite technical support. From overseeing cloud environments and network infrastructure to strengthening cybersecurity and support users onsite, the Systems Administrator has the opportunity to make a direct impact while working with a wide range of technologies.

Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator reports directly to the Director of IT and will be responsible for:

• Accurately configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure continued performance and prevent downtime.
• Correctly installing and updating software, patches, and security updates for operational efficiency and keeping systems secure.
• Assisting with on-site technical support when required.
• Providing support for custom built software as/when needed across multiple facilities.
• Accurately document processes for future reference and team collaboration.
• Monitor systems for performance to identify and prevent potential issues to prevent downtime and security risks.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills when responding to hardware and software incidents, evaluating potential causes, and developing effective resolutions to meet end-user support needs and maintain operational continuity.
• Effectively collaborate with the IT team and onsite management and staff to maintain IT infrastructure and system reliability.
• Travel to other facilities for support as/when needed.
• Ensure that products are produced consistently meeting or exceeding established criteria. This includes following established procedures, quality control checks, and the desire to satisfy customer expectations.
• Fulfill duties in a safe, responsible manner in keeping with plant safety guidelines, safe work practices, and applicable regulations. Wear required PPE and ensuring it is appropriate to job at hand. Keep area tidy/free of hazards and ensure safe disposal of scrap and waste.
• Ability to effectively react to change and undertake other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience working in systems administration
• Azure cloud-based systems – azure security policies and how they work (is a must)
• Entra ID
• Knowledge of Fortinet products
• Linux
• Windows server
• Sql server
• Virtualization platforms

Pay: $71,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
