The role ensures system availability, performance, reliability, and compliance with security and governance requirements through proactive monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal stakeholders and third-party service providers.

In addition, the Systems Administrator identifies and implements process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk, and improve service reliability.

The position operates in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), information security standards, and corporate governance policies, contributing to the stability, security, and continuous improvement of GlobalSign's infrastructure environment.

  • Maintain system uptime and service quality through proactive monitoring and preventive actions.]
  • Improve monitoring coverage and automate routine detection and response, reducing time-to-detect and manual intervention for common issues.

2.        Security & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company information security policies, access controls, and acceptable use standards, including controls required to maintain GlobalSign’s trust and audit obligations as a Certificate Authority.
  • Support security audits, reviews, and required remediation actions as needed.

3.       Incident & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with third party providers and outsourced service partners for system configuration, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Create and manage incident and maintenance tickets (e.g., via JIRA or equivalent tools) for proper tracking and documentation, applying consistent standards and automation where it improves quality and speed.
  • Participate in incident response in line with the established incident management process – including detection, escalation, and resolution – and support post-incident follow-up and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Engineers, Support, and other internal teams to resolve infrastructure related concerns.

4.       Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, procedures, and system records.
  • Document completed work, automations, and solutions so they serve as reusable references that reduce dependency on individuals and help other team members build on prior work.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes and monitoring, and automation – identifying repetitive or manual work and proposing or implementing solutions that reduce toil and improve reliability.
  • Provide knowledge sharing, cross training, and support to other team members as required.

5.       Other Duties

  • Perform other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor or management, consistent with role scope and organizational needs.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.
