Systems Administrator – Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure

Optomi, in partnership with a leading organization, is looking for a Systems Administrator – Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure for a 6-month contract opportunity in Moncks Corner, SC.

This hybrid role focuses on supporting critical OT infrastructure in a mission-critical energy environment, with an emphasis on Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), infrastructure troubleshooting, and maintaining secure, reliable server systems.

• Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience with enterprise backup, endpoint protection, and security monitoring platforms.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, operating system patching, and application updates.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a technical team.
• Experience supporting NERC CIP-regulated environments is a plus.

What are the responsibilities of the right candidate:

• Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
• Evaluate, test, and deploy operating system and application patches.
• Troubleshoot Active Directory, server, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Support security and infrastructure platforms, including Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam Backup & Replication, and Tripwire.
• Develop, configure, and deploy PRTG Network Monitoring System.
• Assist with plant switch configuration, enterprise networking, and system monitoring.
• Support critical OT initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and daily operational needs.
• Participate in a rotating 24x7x365 on-call support schedule.

The OT Infrastructure team supports critical technology initiatives and mission-critical environments within the energy sector. The team is seeking a self-sufficient Systems Administrator who can integrate into an established group and independently support complex Windows and Linux server environments.
