Systems & Automation Analyst Summary

Our client is seeking a Systems & Automation Analyst to support an absence management practice within a large insurance brokerage.  This analyst will design and build automation and AI-driven solutions that cut manual work, improve data quality, and scale service delivery.  This is a hands-on technical role working across Power Platform, Copilot, Python, and Alteryx; partnering closely with consultants, operations, analytics, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify manual, repetitive workflows and replace them with Power Automate, Power Apps, and M365 solutions.
• Build AI-assisted workflows and agents for intake, triage, summarization, and reporting.
• Serve as the Copilot SME, developing use cases across Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI.
• Use Python to automate data transformations and replace spreadsheet-driven processes.
• Integrate Alteryx, Power BI, and Microsoft data sources into automated reporting pipelines.
• Presenting to leadership and senior management.
• Be influential and decision maker.

Requirements

• 5+ years of workflow automation and BI experience.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI productivity tools.
• Working knowledge of data structures and storage (Azure tables, SQL, JSON).
• Experience building automation workflows, bots, or AI agents.
• Experience with presenting Leadership and Senior Leaders.
• Demonstrate ability to make decisions and be influential.

Preferred

• Experience using Python for operational or consulting analytics.
• Alteryx experience.
• Background in insurance, benefits, HR operations, consulting, or professional services.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
