About the role

The Systems Development Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, developing and improving the digital systems used across the business, with a strong focus on Zoho Creator, Google Workspace and Zapier. This is a hands-on technical role. The successful candidate must be able to independently understand how existing platforms and workflows operate, identify opportunities for improvement, and then build and implement practical solutions, rather than simply recommend what should be done.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve Zoho Creator applications, including workflows, forms, reporting, automations and integrations with other business systems
• Act as the business's Google Workspace super user, helping better utilise functionality already available within Google Workspace
• Review current work processes and recommend better ways of using the Google Workspace platform
• Implement improvements and provide practical guidance and training to the team on Google Workspace
• Build and maintain integrations and automations between Zoho, Google Workspace and other business platforms using Zapier
• Understand how platforms interact and identify opportunities to reduce double handling and manual data entry
• Identify repetitive administrative processes and develop practical automated solutions
• Create simple user guides and provide practical training so the team understands and adopts implemented systems
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve how the business uses technology
• Troubleshoot problems and refine existing systems

About you

• Strong hands-on systems development and automation experience
• Google Workspace advanced/super user
• Zoho Creator super user with the ability to enhance and develop existing applications
• Strong Zapier integration and automation experience
• Practical knowledge of WorkflowMax
• Ability to independently analyse an existing system and identify areas for improvement
• Comfortable developing new ideas and turning them into practical technical solutions
• Can troubleshoot problems and refine existing systems
• Understands business processes and can translate operational requirements into system solutions
• Proactive in identifying opportunities for automation and optimisation
