Senior Systems Engineer Active Directory and Entra ID

Duration – 6 months

Job Duties

• Execute Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID integration activities, under the direction of senior engineers and architect on the IAM Directory Services team, in support of M&A integration projects.

• Implement and support Active Directory domain consolidations, Entra ID tenant integrations, and identity coexistence strategies.

• Configure, manage, and support Microsoft Entra ID services, including identity synchronization, authentication methods, Conditional Access policies, and hybrid identity integrations.

• Develop and execute migration plans; Perform AD object migrations (as necessary) using industry-standard migration and identity management tools.

• Develop PowerShell automation to streamline migration, provisioning, reporting, validation, and operational processes.

• Perform Active Directory health assessments and implement best-practice recommendations.

• Support DNS, Group Policy, PKI, Kerberos, and authentication-related configurations as required for integration activities.

• Troubleshoot complex identity, authentication, synchronization, and directory service issues.

• Produce technical documentation, migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure integrations meet corporate security, compliance, and governance standards.

• Provide post-migration stabilization, knowledge transfer, and operational support during project transitions.

Job Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.

• Experience supporting M&A integrations, Active Directory consolidations, domain migrations, or Entra ID tenant integrations.

• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Entra ID, Entra Connect, and hybrid identity architectures.

• Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Microsoft Entra Connect/Cloud Sync, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance.

• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

• Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and event/log analysis capabilities.

• Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth, and modern authentication technologies preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently in enterprise environments.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
