What they need

We are seeking a System Engineer to support a mission-critical U.S. Government program. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career systems engineer to work in a highly technical environment supporting system requirements, architecture, design, integration, testing, and implementation.

The System Engineer will work closely with technical teams and Government stakeholders to translate operational needs into system requirements and contribute to the development and delivery of secure, production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and high-level system architectures to support development of system requirements and specifications.
  • Assist with system design, development, integration, implementation, and testing activities.
  • Contribute to systems engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Develop and maintain system requirements and derived requirements aligned with established system architectures.
  • Support architectures utilizing frameworks and approaches such as DoDAF and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Assist in developing and allocating functional and system requirements across hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components.
  • Support development of system architecture, system design, integration, and test documentation.
  • Coordinate technical action items resulting from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews.
  • Work across engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure successful system integration.
  • Communicate technical considerations, issues, and requirements with Government stakeholders, program personnel, and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • An additional five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and contribute to systems engineering documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle concepts and processes.
  • Understanding of requirements management and requirements traceability.
  • Exposure to DoDAF, SOA, system architecture, or system integration.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Control Boards, design reviews, test reviews, or other formal engineering review processes.
  • Ability to develop clear and accurate technical documentation.
