Systems Engineer

About the role

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and support of the servers, workstations, software and network infrastructure that underpin our customers' integrated security systems. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong background in Windows Server, networking and integrated security platforms who enjoys a mix of technical support, system design, troubleshooting and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service server and computer hardware running Windows operating systems

• Monitor, maintain and update customer monitoring platforms and software

• Install, configure and commission Access Control, CCTV and Intercom software platforms

• Provide technical support to field technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and acting as the primary IT escalation point

• Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking, database and system integration issues

• Maintain and update technical documentation for new and existing systems

• Provide system designs and assistance to sales for technical questions for quotes

• Assist project teams during deployment, testing and commissioning activities

• Attend customer sites when required to support installations, upgrades and fault resolution

About you

• Current Driver's Licence

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop environments

• Sound understanding of networking fundamentals

• A strong troubleshooter with excellent analytical skills

• Comfortable supporting both internal teams and external customers

• Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
