Global Enterprise Services (GES) is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support secure enterprise IT infrastructure. Bring your expertise in systems administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, and automation to help improve system reliability, security, and performance.

What You’ll Do

• Design and maintain scalable infrastructure across Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and AWS/Azure environments.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related enterprise services.
• Support VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage, RAID configurations, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Automate administration and deployment tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Troubleshoot system, storage, and network issues; optimize performance and capacity.
• Support application and database integrations, CI/CD workflows, and configuration management.
• Develop technical documentation, provide team guidance, and help meet customer requirements and project milestones.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Active DoD security clearance.
• Systems Engineering professional certification.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux/Unix systems.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization, cloud infrastructure, enterprise storage, and backup/recovery.
• Scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and access controls.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Additional Technical Experience

Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, microservices, REST APIs, or service-oriented architecture will support success in this role.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $122,000.00 per year
