Systems Engineer

Avalore is seeking a systems engineer to support as a member of a team specializing in technical risk analysis of enterprise and operational mission systems, networks, devices, and applications across a myriad of Government's initiatives.

Requirements

• Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

• Experience with the following:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available back-end systems using Python and Neo4J

• Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements

• Develop and maintain Neo4J databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability. Write efficient and scalable Python code, following best practices and coding standards

• Collaborate with a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers

• Experience with Cl/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Cl/CD)

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)

• Knowledge of graph algorithms and data structures

• Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, C++)

• Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security

• Optimize Kubernetes deployments for performance, cost, and reliability

• Work in high-security environments, adhering to strict security protocols and compliance requirements

• Implement security best practices and ensure the integrity of sensitive data

• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability

• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices

• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, working closely with the development team and other stakeholders

Desired:

• AWS Certified Developer -Associate or Professional
• Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) or Developer (CKAD)

Work Environment:

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
