Systems Engineer (DevSecOps)

The Role

SCYTALYS is currently looking for a skilled Systems Engineer (DevSecOps) to build, secure, and maintain Windows and Linux environments supporting mission-critical applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for system administration, infrastructure automation, security hardening, and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Windows Server and Linux operating systems
• Design and implement secure system configurations, hardening baselines, and access controls
• Install, configure, and support operating systems, services, storage, and application prerequisites across physical and virtual environments
• Manage patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and operating system lifecycle activities
• Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls
• Manage system security controls, including endpoint protection, certificates, service accounts, and permissions
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for infrastructure and applications
• Support backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster recovery processes
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and administration tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Ansible
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to improve automation, standards, and operational practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience administering Windows and Linux systems in production environments
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• Strong expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is considered a plus
• Good understanding of system hardening, access controls, vulnerability management, and security best practices
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, and firewall administration
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Familiarity with certificates, PKI, and identity and access management concepts
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
