Systems Engineer Entry Level

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus 1 year of relevant work experience; or Master's degree.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. App licants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities For This Position As a systems engineer for Unmanned and Future Combatants - Surface Ships, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing, verifying, and evaluating new and upgraded designs for US Navy Surface Vessels.

What you can expect to work on:

• Perform customer requirements analysis, develop system requirements, and define allocations to lower levels (elements and components)
• Design, integrate, test, deploy, and improve software products
• Perform functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test, interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements
• Support the generation of technical engineering products by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
• Develop software architecture artifacts that provide a common understanding of the solution behind complex systems to various stakeholders
• Perform integration and testing of combat systems work products, including simulation and live testing
• Conduct complex data reduction and analysis to provide actionable insight and recommendations for improvement
• Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Target salary range: USD $85,807.00/Yr. - USD $95,193.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
