Do you want to be part of a culture that inspires employees to innovate, perform with excellence, and build incredible products? If you have the passion, drive, and courage to dream big, we want you to help build a better tomorrow. Lockheed Martin’s Rotary & Mission Systems team is seeking an experienced System Engineer – IT to support the Peace Krypton (PK) program.

THE WORK

As a System Engineer – IT you will:

  • Perform technical planning and analysis for the total system.
  • Lead system integration, verification, and validation activities, while ensuring conversion of customer and product requirements into system solutions that respect technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Design, develop, and analyze IT solutions – create and validate computer system architectures, software programs, and related IT components based on user or system design specifications; consult with users to determine hardware, software, or functional specifications.
  • Build and deploy mission critical IT infrastructure – design and install Windows‑based virtualization (VMware vSphere/vCenter), storage (VEEAM, GoodSync), and Active Directory forests/domains; configure networking, IP‑addressing, VLANs, and firewall interfaces; implement DISA‑STIG hardening and ensure compliance with security baselines.
  • Produce integration documentation – generate network diagrams, VLAN/IP matrices, rack‑plan layouts, configuration‑baseline documents, and systems‑integration artifacts for the left‑hand side of the Systems Engineering “V”.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – work with software, hardware, test, and test‑and‑evaluation engineers, as well as customers and stakeholders, to assure seamless system integration and readiness for field deployment.
  • Execute functional and performance testing – develop test plans, conduct testing, analyze results, and certify system readiness for deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership – mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.
