About the Role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer – Mid Level to manage and optimize cloud data platforms supporting enterprise analytics and AI/ML workloads. The role will focus on Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure environments, ensuring platform availability, performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.

You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, BI teams, architects, and global stakeholders while driving automation, production support, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Snowflake and Databricks environments, including performance, scaling, workload isolation, and cost management.
• Support Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory environments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake Streams/Tasks, and Azure Data Factory.
• Implement security and governance controls including RBAC, encryption, auditing, masking, lineage, and Entra ID integration.
• Monitor and tune queries and workloads using Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure monitoring tools.
• Implement backup, replication, archival, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Provide production support, incident response, and root-cause analysis for platform issues.
• Collaborate with data and technology teams to support scalable data models, integrations, and reporting.
• Evaluate and adopt new platform capabilities to improve governance, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation including SOPs, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and DR plans.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience in data platforms, database administration, systems engineering, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration, including warehouse management, query tuning, clustering, caching, cost governance, Time Travel, and replication.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including workspaces, clusters, SQL Warehouses, jobs, policies, and workload isolation.
• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, data governance, lineage, and access controls.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting using Python and/or PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure SQL, including connectivity, authentication, and monitoring.
• Strong understanding of platform security, including RBAC, encryption, auditing, masking, and Entra ID.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Strong production support and troubleshooting skills across data platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Awareness of AI services relevant to platform administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay: Php80,000.00 per month
