You will work across Mechanical, Software, Electronics, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Service, and Product Management to translate product requirements into robust, integrated, and manufacturable system solutions.

This role is part of the expansion of our Brno Development Center.

You will contribute directly to our product roadmap while collaborating closely with our Innovation and Architecture team in Eindhoven.

Our Technology

Our Desktop SEM business develops advanced scanning electron microscopes used worldwide in materials science, manufacturing, research, and quality assurance. Our products combine:

  • Electron optics and vacuum technology
  • Precision mechanics and mechatronics
  • Embedded electronics
  • Scientific software and user interfaces
  • Image acquisition and analysis
  • Manufacturing automation and system integration

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate product needs into system requirements, specifications, and engineering solutions.
  • Manage requirements and interfaces across mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing domains.
  • Support system integration while balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Define and execute system verification and validation activities.
  • Support product release readiness and manufacturing introduction.
  • Evaluate engineering changes and their impact on system performance, interfaces, and product quality.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Support supplier and component qualification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical investigations, and structured root-cause analysis.
  • Support new product development, product improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Contribute to systems engineering best practices and knowledge sharing within the Brno Development Center.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in complex, high-tech product development or multidisciplinary R&D.
  • Experience in systems engineering and multidisciplinary product development.
  • Experience with requirements engineering, system integration, and interface management.
  • Experience with verification, validation, and product release processes.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

Experience with SEM or other scientific instrumentation, complex mechatronic systems, system architecture, technical risk assessment, supplier qualification, quality systems, MBSE, PLM, Jama, Jira, or similar engineering tools would be an advantage.

Why Join Us?

You will work on sophisticated scientific instruments combining physics, precision mechanics, electronics, and software, with the opportunity to influence products throughout their lifecycle.

You will collaborate with experienced specialists across disciplines while helping strengthen systems engineering capabilities within our growing Brno Development Center.
