Position Overview:

The Systems Engineering, Subject Matter Expert & Data Analytics Support position provides technical, analytical, and programmatic expertise in support of capability lifecycle management, systems engineering, acquisition, and performance improvement activities. The position supports portfolio and acquisition programs through specialized technical analysis, data-driven decision support, risk assessment, requirements analysis, alternatives assessment, and process improvement.

We are seeking candidates who will provide subject matter expertise as needed across systems engineering, technical analysis, strategic planning, risk management, acquisition support, and capability lifecycle management. Particular emphasis will be placed on applying advanced data analytics and visualization techniques to support requirements definition, performance measurement, forecasting, program decision-making, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise and technical support across systems engineering, acquisition, capability lifecycle management, risk management, and technical analysis.
• Analyze program and operational data to support requirements development, performance measurement, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain data analytics and visualization products, including Power BI dashboards, KPIs, performance metrics, and executive-level reporting.
• Conduct technical assessments, alternatives analyses, trade studies, risk assessments, and process improvement activities.
• Support data integration efforts and identify opportunities to improve analytics, reporting, and decision-support processes.
• Evaluate transportation security technologies, capabilities, and equipment in support of TSA/DHS programs and acquisition activities.
• Apply systems engineering, MBSE, digital engineering, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML to support system analysis and lifecycle management.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, recommendations, and other decision-support products for government and program leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, technical analysis, data analytics, acquisition support, or a related field.
• Experience with requirements analysis, technical assessments, risk management, alternatives analysis, or process improvement.
• Experience analyzing data and developing performance metrics, dashboards, or other decision-support products; Power BI experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to provide subject matter expertise and technical recommendations across engineering, acquisition, and capability lifecycle activities.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting TSA, DHS, or other federal programs.
• Experience with transportation security equipment, risk assessments, or capability development.
• Experience with systems engineering or MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler or ProModel.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, MATLAB, Microsoft Project, or Oracle Business Intelligence.
• Knowledge of digital engineering, AI/ML, or advanced analytics applications.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
