What they need

Join Community

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.

Make a Difference

The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing Community Health Network’s enterprise UNIX and Linux environment. This role ensures system reliability, performance, security, and availability while helping implement new technologies that support the organization’s growing technology infrastructure.

  • Monitor system performance, security, and availability.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and infrastructure solutions.
  • Support system upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and capacity management.
  • Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and customers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting enterprise-scale UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Experience with system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
