What they need

****Must be local to Philadelphia area*****

Key Responsibilities

Network & Infrastructure Ownership

  • Manage network operations across all company sites and lead the move to a standard Cisco Meraki environment, including firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure that can support current and future needs.

  • Keep warehouse and plant devices securely connected, including scanners, label printers, scales, kiosks, sensors, and other equipment that sends data to Dynamics 365 and reporting platforms.

  • Work with plant personnel when control systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, and historians, connect with IT systems.

  • Support sites remotely when possible, by preparing equipment in advance, walking local teams through replacements, and traveling on-site when needed.

Microsoft Cloud & Endpoint Administration

  • Manage and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, and Autopilot.

  • Lead the move from hybrid Active Directory to cloud-only Entra ID and address dependencies involving servers, file shares, printers, Wi-Fi authentication, and service accounts.

  • Review virtual machines and physical servers, move needed workloads to the cloud, and retire hardware that is no longer required.

  • Plan, complete, and document cloud migrations from start to finish. Bring in outside partners when extra capacity or specialized expertise is needed.

Security, Reliability & Recovery

  • Keep systems secure and reliable through regular patching, sound configuration practices, endpoint protection, and access controls.

  • Manage CrowdStrike Falcon, review alerts, investigate detections, and follow issues through resolution.

  • Test the disaster recovery, backup, and ransomware response plans developed by the Director of IT and carry them out when needed.

  • Support MFA tools such as Cisco Duo, including deployment, policy management, and user enrollment.

Technical Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as the main escalation point for the service desk and outside support partner on system and network issues.

  • Troubleshoot complex problems across networks, systems, cloud services, identity, and end-user devices. Find the root cause, put a lasting fix in place, and take steps to prevent the issue from happening again.

  • Lead the response to outages and document the cause, resolution, and follow-up actions.

  • Record work in the ticketing system and write clear knowledge base articles for the service desk, users, and AI-enabled support tools.

  • Train employees in Microsoft products and other business software as needed.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and implementation partners and make sure their work meets company standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

  • At least five years of systems and network administration or engineering experience, including two years as the primary owner of a multi-site Microsoft 365 and network environment.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows endpoints, and SharePoint administration, including site structure, permissions, document libraries, and sharing.

  • Working knowledge of VLANs, routing, site-to-site VPNs, Wi-Fi, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and internet failover.

  • Ability to troubleshoot across the full technology stack using tools such as packet captures, Meraki logs and analytics, Entra sign-in and audit logs, Intune reports, Windows Event Viewer, ping, traceroute, and nslookup.

  • Experience resolving intermittent or site-specific performance and connectivity issues remotely with help from non-technical site employees.

  • Experience managing outages, documenting root causes, and putting corrective actions in place.

  • Experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, backups, restores, and migrations from hybrid Active Directory to cloud-only Entra ID. Microsoft Azure experience is preferred.

  • Experience moving servers and virtual machines to the cloud and retiring on-premises hardware.

  • Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon and Cisco Duo or similar endpoint security and MFA tools.

  • Experience supporting network and systems infrastructure across multiple sites, including remote operational locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki MX, MS, and MR products.

  • Experience supporting an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Experience in mining, manufacturing, warehousing, or supply chain operations.

  • Experience connecting warehouse and plant equipment to ERP or reporting systems, including handheld scanners, vehicle-mounted computers, label and RFID printers, RFID readers, truck scales, kiosks, tablets, IP cameras, and IoT sensors.

  • Experience managing wireless carrier accounts, mobile devices, hotspots, cellular backup lines, Starlink, or other satellite and cellular internet services.

  • Experience with Zero Trust access platforms, security awareness training tools, Azure DevOps, and PowerShell scripting.

Key Competencies

  • Ownership: Takes responsibility for assigned work, follows through, and keeps others informed.

  • Problem-Solving: Works through issues methodically, tests changes carefully, confirms the fix with the user, and looks for a lasting solution.

  • Attention to Detail: Follows established processes, documents work clearly, and completes required steps.

  • Adaptability: Adjusts to changing priorities while keeping other commitments on track.

  • Teamwork: Works well with colleagues, site personnel, vendors, and partners and responds constructively to feedback.

  • Communication: Explains technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical employees and operational teams.

  • Composure: Stays focused during outages and urgent situations and relies on facts rather than assumptions.
