SYSTEMS OPTIMISATION SPECIALIST
The Company
Rosie & Jim produce a wide range of healthy, great tasting, breaded chicken products for Food Service and Retail sectors within Irish, UK and European markets. We are a fast-paced, BRC Grade A accredited Family Business with a close-knit team of 100 employees located beside the Luas Stop at Bluebell. A factory expansion is underway that will triple production capacity to meet growing demand in our domestic and export markets. Innovation is our key strength. Our focus is on further developing the Rosie & Jim brand as the go-to range for discerning consumers seeking convenient food solutions made from clean label natural ingredients.
Position Description
As our System Optimisation Officer, you will improve how information moves between departments. You will review existing systems, improve data quality and reporting, and reduce manual work. You will also assess suitable AI and automation opportunities, implement agreed changes with the relevant teams, and make information easier to access and use.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems and Process Optimisation
· Review current workflows across operational, finance and procurement systems, identify duplicated entry, manual work and gaps in data
· Improve system use and integration by documenting requirements, coordinating with IT, Finance and suppliers, testing changes and supporting users
· Maintain clear processes for system changes, data ownership and reporting so improvements remain reliable over time
Data Quality and Reporting
· Cleanse and standardise data including product, item, supplier and reporting records, with appropriate checks and an audit trail for changes
· Build accessible reports and dashboards that give managers accurate, timely operational and financial information
· Reduce manual reporting through repeatable data preparation, reconciliations and agreed definitions for key measures
Procurement and Finance Improvement
· Support the Procurement Excel order matrices and Materials Requirements Plan by improving the quality and flow of raw material and packaging data, including historical usage, current stock, supplier lead times and minimum reorder quantities
· Develop and maintain automated planning reports or Excel tools that highlight suggested reorder dates, quantities and data exceptions for the Procurement Manager to review; purchasing decisions, supplier negotiations and order placement remain with procurement
· Improve finance data and reporting workflows by reducing manual data preparation and improving the consistency of routine reports and reconciliations, in agreement with the Acting Financial Controller and subject to existing approvals and controls
AI and Change Delivery
· Assess AI and automation opportunities for feasibility, data quality, security, cost and measurable benefit before recommending implementation
· Pilot and deliver approved improvements with the Operations Manager, Acting Financial Controller and affected teams, train users and monitor results
· Protect business information by applying appropriate permissions, privacy safeguards and human review to automated outputs.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Experience improving business systems, data or processes in manufacturing, operations, finance or procurement
· Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data cleansing and Power Query or comparable tools
· Experience building reports from multiple sources and checking data accuracy
· Ability to gather requirements, work with different teams, test solutions and explain technical changes clearly
· Understanding of confidential data, permissions and financial or purchasing controls
· Experience with Tulip, Sage Intacct or a similar manufacturing platform, Power BI, ERP or automation tools would be an advantage
· Experience applying AI tools in a business environment would be an advantage
