Systems (Signalling) - Technician

Responsibility

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of signalling systems in accordance with safety, reliability, and operational standards, ensuring system availability and performance.
• Carry out inspection, testing, fault diagnosis, and rectification works, while supporting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support engineering works and projects, including system upgrades, modifications, addition and alteration works, and defect resolution, in compliance with approved procedures and work instructions.
• Perform designated operational and safety roles, such as Track Protection Officer (TPO) and Possession Controller (PC), ensuring safe execution of engineering and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and reports, while contributing to the review and update of procedures, drawings, and work instructions.
• Uphold safety, security, and housekeeping standards, and continuously enhance technical competencies through training and development programmes.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities

Requirements

• NTC2/3 in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering
• Higher Nitec in Rapid Transit Technology
• Preferably minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience maintenance environment.
• Experience in the field of Railway Signalling, as well as knowledge of networking and configuring or troubleshooting operating systems, will be an advantage
• Good knowledge in computer hardware and software applications
• Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Preferably possess a Class 3 driving license
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent planning, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills
