Systems Support Engineer

Position Overview:
You’ll provide hands-on systems support across a hybrid enterprise (on-prem and GovCloud). You will administer Windows/Linux servers, perform patching and configuration, support integrations and middleware, and drive incident/change activities in close coordination with Government and partner teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Operations & Health: Monitor, triage, and resolve alerts/incidents via ITSM tools (ServiceNow, OneView/Salesforce, Jira); document root cause and preventive actions.
• Patching & Compliance: Execute structured patch cycles, vulnerability remediation, and baseline hardening; maintain gold images and configuration standards.
• Provisioning & Access: Create and manage accounts, groups, and roles; enforce least-privilege across DEV → Stage → Prod.
• Automation & Scripting: Build/maintain scripts (PowerShell/Bash/Python) to automate monitoring, backups, and routine admin tasks.
• Networking & Connectivity: Support VPN, certificates/TLS, DNS/DHCP, and load balancers; coordinate firewall change requests with network/security teams.
• Cloud Support: Assist with Azure/AWS GovCloud (compute, storage, IAM), backup/restore, and COOP exercises.
• Change/Release Discipline: Prepare implementation plans, validation steps, and rollback procedures; participate in CCB reviews and post-implementation assessments.
• CMDB & Asset Hygiene: Maintain CI records/relationships; reconcile discovery data and support quarterly configuration audits.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear status in weekly/monthly reports; support after-hours maintenance and on-call rotations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of enterprise systems administration/engineering (Windows Server and/or RHEL) supporting production environments
• Hands-on experience with ITSM workflows (Incident/Problem/Change), ticketing platforms (ServiceNow/OneView/Jira), and CMDB practices
• Proficiency with patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening; solid troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Scripting capability in PowerShell and/or Bash (Python a plus)
• Comfortable working on-site with cross-functional teams and rotating coverage

Mandatory Certifications

• Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
• Project Management Professional

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
