Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Systems Support Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting the DSI R&D Services group. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in networking, systems administration, and instrumentation support and a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues across laboratory environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support across Pleasanton and Santa Clara campuses and remote external sites.
• Configure, maintain, and set up firewalls, servers, PCs, and instrument-connected devices.
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, folder shares, and network connectivity on switches, servers, and instruments.
• Perform PMs, IOQs, hardware repairs, part replacements, and system software upgrades.
• Document all service activities in the electronic database and process requests via ServiceNow.
• Communicate status updates and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in training with senior team members and SMEs.
• Comply with client's safety policies and FDA/ISO regulations for instrument support and qualification.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in networking fundamentals, including VLANs, IP addressing, firewalls, switches, and Windows server/client environments.
• Experience with instrument and systems support, including PMs, IOQs, repairs, and software upgrades.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, IT Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years servicing medical or laboratory equipment with networking fundamentals.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Background in regulated environments with FDA and ISO standards
