Tableau Developer / BI Engineer

We are seeking a results-driven Tableau Developer / BI Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL, along with industry experience in banking, credit unions, or financial services.

The successful candidate will develop scalable reporting solutions, transform complex datasets into actionable insights, and collaborate with business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.
• Integrate and analyze data from Snowflake and other enterprise data sources.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective BI solutions.
• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports.
• Monitor and optimize dashboard performance, data refresh processes, and reporting efficiency.
• Develop KPIs, metrics, and analytical reports to support operational and strategic business objectives.
• Adhere to established data governance, security, and confidentiality standards.

Required Qualifications

• 4–5 years of professional experience in Tableau development, business intelligence, or data analytics.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau and working knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience with Snowflake, including data querying and analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data validation.
• Prior experience in the banking, credit union, or financial services industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite three days per week in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial services data, including lending, deposits, member/customer information, or operational reporting.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
• Experience developing executive dashboards, performance metrics, and management reports.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
