Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard in Barrie

• Monitor the site for unauthorized persons, loitering, suspicious activity, and unauthorized encampments.
• Provide a visible security presence and deter trespassing, unauthorized access, and suspicious activity
• Ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and the public
• Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports
• Enforce site policies and security procedures
• Proactively identify and address potential security concerns before they escalate.
• Approach individuals on-site in a professional and respectful manner and request that unauthorized persons leave the property when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and use professional communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve situations safely.
• Contact police, 911, or emergency services when required based on the circumstances.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate patrol and activity records as required.
• Work independently while maintaining a professional and customer-service-focused approach at all times.

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard in Barrie

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and WSIB-approved First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
• Previous Use of Force (UOF) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training is an asset
• Previous tactical or security experience is an asset
