Duties

• Measure clients accurately to determine tailoring needs and desired fit
• Alter, repair, and customize garments according to specifications and style preferences
• Operate sewing machines, pressing equipment, and other tailoring tools efficiently and safely
• Consult with customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on fit and fabric choices
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency during all tailoring tasks
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating progress and ensuring satisfaction with finished garments

Requirements

• Proven experience as a tailor or in a similar sewing and alteration role
• Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabrics, and garment construction
• Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating fabric needs, and adjusting patterns
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to listen carefully and communicate clearly
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to adapt to different garment styles and customer preferences
• A passion for craftsmanship and delivering high-quality results

Pay: $16.48-$25.00 per hour
