We are seeking a talented and dedicated Seamstress Tailor to join our vibrant fashion retail team. In this role, you will bring garments to life through expert sewing, alterations, and garment construction, ensuring each piece meets our high standards of quality and style. Your craftsmanship will help customers look and feel their best, whether they’re seeking custom apparel or professional clothing alterations. Duties

• Perform clothing alterations and repairs with precision, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing garments for a perfect fit
• Construct custom apparel for both men's and women's wear, utilizing advanced garment sewing and stitching techniques
• Operate pressing machines and press garments to achieve crisp finishes and professional presentation
• Use hand sewing skills for detailed finishing touches and delicate fabric work
• Manage sewing machine operations efficiently to produce high-quality garments in a timely manner
• Assist customers by providing expert advice on fabric materials, garment care, and tailoring options
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sewing area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for

Requirements

• Proven experience in fashion retail, clothing alterations, or garment sewing with a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Skilled in the use of sewing machines, pressing machines, and hand sewing techniques
• Knowledge of fabric materials and garment construction processes for both men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring
• Ability to perform precise stitching and detailed finishing work under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with pressing machine operation and garment pressing techniques for professional results
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about tailoring options and fabric choices
• Basic math skills for measuring, pattern adjustments, and fitting calculations
• Experience working with various fabric types such as cotton, silk, wool, and synthetic blends
