What you’ll do

• Collaborate with customers to understand their garment needs and preferences, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
• Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to construct, alter, and repair garments to the highest standards.
• Measure clients accurately to ensure perfect fit and comfort in all finished products.
• Execute various sewing techniques including hemming, patching, and resizing while maintaining garment integrity.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available for efficient workflow.
• Keep up-to-date with fashion trends to provide informed recommendations to customers regarding styles and alterations.
• Perform basic math calculations for measurements, fabric requirements, and pricing estimates as needed.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in tailoring (minimum two years of experience and more).
• Proficient in operating sewing machines and understanding garment construction principles.

Preferred qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality craftsmanship.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and pricing.
