Duties

• Prepare and assemble takeaway orders accurately according to customer requests and established standards.
• Assist in food preparation tasks, including basic cooking, portioning, and packaging to ensure quality presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the takeaway station, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling where appropriate.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure orders are completed promptly without sacrificing quality.
• Support inventory checks by restocking supplies and notifying management of shortages or issues.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to keep the workspace safe for everyone.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is a plus but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling practices.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
• Strong time management skills to keep up during busy hours.
• Good communication skills to interact positively with team members and customers.
• Experience with upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales is desirable.
• Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but isn’t required—training will be provided!
