Takeaway Assistant

We are looking for a presentable, honest and reliable person with a great attitude to join our hard-working team.

The successful applicant will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and be able to work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times
• Ensure customer service is maintained to a high standard
• Take customer orders in person
• Confidently able to answer the phone and take phone orders
• Prepare and serve food and drinks to a high standard
• Cook a range of takeaway foods, including deep-fried items, burgers, chicken and much more
• Ensure food is cooked correctly and presented to a high standard
• Scoop and serve ice creams
• Make milkshakes and other drinks
• Handle payments accurately
• Keep the takeaway area, equipment and work areas clean and tidy
• Follow all health and safety requirements
• Follow food hygiene and food safety procedures
• Ensure food is prepared, handled and presented correctly
• Work effectively and respectfully with other team members
• Complete other general takeaway duties as required

• Honest, reliable and punctual
• Well presented
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Able to work in a busy environment
• Confident answering the phone and taking customer orders
• Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene regulations and procedures would be an advantage
• Knowledge or experience in food and drink preparation and presentation would be an advantage
• Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Weekend work is required

Pay: From $23.95 per hour
