Takeaway Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Takeaway Manager to oversee daily operations at our busy takeaway establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service. Duties

• Supervise daily food preparation and cooking processes to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
• Oversee the entire takeaway service, including order processing, packaging, and delivery coordination.
• Manage and motivate team members, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premises.
• Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate stock levels, place orders for ingredients and supplies, and manage inventory efficiently.
• Assist with food production when necessary, demonstrating culinary skills such as food preparation and cooking.
• Implement training programmes for staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and service standards.
• Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork and high morale among staff members.
• Monitor sales figures and implement strategies to optimise revenue during busy periods.

Experience

• Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a takeaway or fast-food environment.
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
• Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
• Experience in bartending or serving is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with hospitality standards across hotel or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
