Takeout Service Associate

Job Summary

Forno Kitchen + Bar is hiring a Takeout Service Associate to support takeout and customer service operations. This role is responsible for receiving orders, coordinating with kitchen staff, preparing and packaging takeout orders, processing payments, and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional takeout service
• Receive takeout, pickup, and phone orders accurately
• Enter customer orders into the POS system
• Communicate special requests and order details to kitchen staff
• Monitor order preparation and coordinate pickup timing
• Verify completed orders for accuracy and completeness
• Package food and beverages securely according to service standards
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other approved payment transactions
• Provide customers with order information and answer routine questions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked takeout service area
• Restock bags, containers, utensils, condiments, receipts, and other supplies
• Assist with delivery orders and driver pickups as needed
• Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and workplace safety procedures
• Support opening, closing, and general restaurant duties

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and payment-handling abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and order accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for extended periods and multitask
